Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
February 17th, 2009
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is off again with a new season of clothing lines set to inspire what to wear for the Fall of 2009. On February 13th The Academy of Art Institute opened the week stylishly under the Bryant Park tents. Graduates from the School of Fashion displayed their works of art and held there own out there, taking no shadow to the brilliant collections of some of our favorite designers.

Keep your eyes on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week website for updates on the designer collections as the week progresses.

Fashion Week Partaay.
October 2nd, 2008
Imagine over 500 peeps shoved into a thrift store filled with free booze, free jeans and a whole lot of worker bees sporting turqouise t-shirts that read “Frugal is the New Black” and you have yourself the Budget Fashionista’s, Kathryn Finney, 5th Anniversary Bash. Housing Works, a popular NYC thrift store where all proceeds go towards the fight against homelessness and HIV/Aids, hosted the event.

Attendance to this bash included Karson Kresley, the “shoe expert” Meghan Cleary, Super Model Roshumba Williams and many other super savvy, fashion bloggers, columnists, reporters etc. The music was bumping, the drinks were great, the food was delicious and the entire event was hot, no literally people were sweating. Good times had by all, and congrats Budget Fashionista on 5 years in the Bizz.
